Life Size Danboard Outside Gamers Akihabara

To promote the release of latest volume of the manga Yotsuba&! (よつばと!), a life size Danboard was seen outside the Gamers in Akihabara.

Here’s the evil Danboard making his move on a poor loli ^^

I think Danboard is one of the easiest manga character to cosplay but I’ve yet to see anyone wear the suit of cardboard before. Maybe I shall try it out for next year’s AFA XD

Nintendo Wii Danboard

My friend forwarded me this cute photo of customised Danboard figures of Nintendo Wii and FedEx boxes.

The only Danboard that was truly released is the Revoltech Danboard [Amazon JP Limited Ver]. The rest are supposedly customised by the owner. He/she even made a cute tiny Nintendo Wii console.

It’d would be cool to see a FedEx Danboard battle it out with a DHL Danboard. LOL

Revoltech Danbo Mini Amazon Box Version

Following the popular Revoltech Danboard [Amazon JP Limited Ver.], Kaiyodo has decided to bring it back but in a smaller version.

Compared to the previous size of 130mm, the new tiny version is approximately 80mm in height.

Its amazing that even the smaller version can light up its eyes. And folks that order from Amazon.co.jp will be packed in a miniature Amazon box!

These cute tiny Revoltech mini danboards are scheduled to be released on December 15th and will be retailing for 1,000 yen.

Revoltech Danboard [7-11 JP Limited Ver.]

The official Revoltech blog has been updated with a cool Revoltech Danboard, and this time they are collaborating with 7-11 Japan.

Anyway, just like the Revoltech Danboard [Amazon JP Limited Ver.] version previously, this Danboard will only be available exclusively online from 7-11 JP.

The Danboard is scheduled to be released on 27 November 2008 and will be retailing for 2,205 yen.

So, which one do you prefer, the amazon version, the 7-11 version, or the plain normal one?

Ena Ayase PVC

Here’s a really cute figure of Ena Ayase from the manga series Yotsuba&!

I really like how she is hugging the cute teddy bear. But apparently she can be transformed into a swimsuit version seen in the top right corner as well.

She is scheduled to be released in September and will be retailing for 2,940 yen.

Definitely a nice addition beside Revoltech Yotsuba [Summer Vacation Set].

Kaiyodo are releasing a new version of Revoltech for Yotsuba and she just look so cute with her summer hat and insect catching net.

She’s scheduled to be released on 01 August and will be retailing for 2,600 yen.

She seems to come with losta interchangeable parts: 2 bags, a net, a cute hat and different faces.

This would be a nice addition to the Revoltech Yotsuba with the water pistol that I already have.

Fuka Ayase School Uniform PVC

This is an interesting figurine release by Kaiyodo. She is Fuka Ayase from the manga Yotsuba&!. She is the 2nd ranking sister amongst the 3 Ayase sister, and she is a 16-year-old student at a local high school.

She is to be sold at 3000 Yen and will be released on 01st November this year.

At first I was wondering why Kaiyodo wanted to release her, but soon it became apparent that they wanted to market it together with their Revoltech Yotsuba&! .

Personally, I don’t think that its a good sculpt. Seems pretty plain looking to me. But maybe it would look good if you pair it together with the Revoltech Yotsuba.

Now that they have release FÅ«ka, does it mean they might consider releasingYotsuba’s dad Mr Koiwai as well?

Personally I would like to see a figurine of Yotsuba being released with her nice little cute tricycle. Do you think maybe Pinky:st would jump onto the bandwagon as well?

Revoltech Yotsuba&! PVC

Just found out on Kaiyodo’s Revoltech website that they are releasing a revoltech for the wonderfully cute five-year old Yotsuba. I want to get this!!

Anyway, she’s scheduled to be released on 27th September for around 2000 Yen. Interestingly, this revoltech figurine is going to be released on the same day as the next volume of Yotsuba&! (ã‚ˆã¤ã°ã¨!) by Kiyohiko Azuma.

Seems like she’s gonna have some interchangeable parts such as a water pistol and a ice-cream.

This is incredibly cute, definitely on my buy list! Now I wonder if Pinky:Street will do their own version as well. That would really be the pawnz.
