xxxHOLiC OVA Bundled With Manga Final Volume

CLAMP’s manga series xxxHolic (×××ホリック) ended serialization earlier this year on 9 Feb 2011. The final volume of the manga is scheduled to be released next week on 9 Mar 2011, and it was announced that a special OVA “xxxHolic Rou Adayume [×××HOLiC・籠(ロウ) あだゆめ]” will be bundled along with the manga.

I had been collecting the xxxHolic manga for quite some time and I’m reading up to Volume 13. Now that the series has been completed, its time for me to get the rest of the volumes and finish reading it. I absolutely adore the eccentric character of Kimihiro Watanuki.

xxxHOLiC: Shunmuki and Tsubasa: Shunraiki Trailers

Kodansha’s official website has uploaded trailers for the upcoming xxxHOLiC: Shunmuki 『×××HOLiC　春夢記』 and Tsubasa: Shunraiki 『ツバサ　春雷記』 original animation DVD (OAD).

xxxHOLiC: Shunmuki is directed by Tsutomu Mizushima, with character design by Kazuchika Kise. As usual, Shikao Suga is invited to sing the theme song titled “sofa”. The first xxxHOLiC: Shunmuki DVD will be shipping with Volume 14 of the manga on 18th Feb.

Tsubasa: Shunraiki is directd by Shunsuke Tada, with character design by Yoko Kikuchi. Maya Sakamoto is invited to sing the theme song titled “Sonic Boom”. The first Tsubasa: Shunraiki DVD will be shipped together with Volume 26 of the manga on 17th March.

The really cute duo of Maru and Moro from the anime/manga series xxxHolic has been made into this cute figure.

They are scheduled for release in May 2009 and will be retailing for 5,800 yen.

Really love the kimono they are wearing. But I would prefer if their expressions were abit more cheerful than yuri.

Suga Shikao – NOBODY KNOWS

Today the postman brought my latest CD purchase, Suga Shikao’s NOBODY KNOWS, the opening theme for the anime series xxxHolic Kei (継).

There are a total of 3 tracks on this single and they are really a good mix of songs:

I always found Suga Shikao’s soulful voice a good choice for the theme songs of xxxHolic.

This season of xxxHolic Kei (継) was pretty good, the only dissapointment was that 13 episodes is too short!!

xxxHOLiC Season 2 Confirmed

According to Moon Phase, a new season of xxxHOLIC has been cleared for production in Japan. It is also stated that the staff and the cast would not change.

Unfortunately, there is not confirmation of the airing date yet. I hope they will managed to air it by the winter quarter.

I really excited about this news because I’m a big xxxHOLIC fan. Those that have been reading the manga would agree with me that the upcoming stories are rather interesting so I’m excited to see them in the anime.
