Hayate no Gotoku! Movie Announced

This week our dear loli tsundere anime character Nagi Sanzen’in (三千院ナギ) from Hayate no Gotoku! (ハヤテのごとく!) is celebrating her birthday (3 Dec). To celebrate the occassion, Weekly Shounen Sunday magazine, has announced that a Hayate no Gotoku! movie is currently being produced.

Here’s the magazine scan that also reveals the movie will be directed by Komori Hideto 小森秀人:

One Piece 3D Movie Announced

The l;atest issue of Weekly Shonen Jump has announced that the next One Piece movie will be a 3D film, and it will premier in Japan on 19 Mar 2011.

The movie is currently titled as 「ONE PIECE 3D」. According to reports, the storyline will be focused on the origin of Luffy’s Straw Hat.

I think this is quite expected considering the rising popularity of 3D films. But I do hope it doesn’t get too rampant because I still prefer my animation in 2D ^^

How many of you had taken a close look at the spine of the mangas or magazines you had been collecting? Folks who do might had noticed that for some titles, there are usually some tiny manga being drawn, and if you connect them together, they form an interesting short story.

Gigazine took an interesting video of all the 53 books of Weekly Shounen Jump magazine that were release in 2009 and uploaded it onto youtube. You can now enjoy the interesting Naruto action:

I used to have the entire collection of Dragonball manga series (before I passed it to my cousin) and the art on the spine of the manga set was one of my favorite of all time.

Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle Concludes In Sept

Kodansha’s Weekly Shounen Magazine has confirmed that the manga series Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle by CLAMP will be coming to its final conclusion on the 30 Sept 2009.

The manga has been serialised for six years since May 2003 and will end in its 28th volume compilation. The final volume is scheduled to be release on 17 Nov 2009.

Negima Anime Feature Scheduled For 2011

It seems like the good preorder sales figures of the upcoming 「Mahou Sensei Negima! Mouhitotsu no Sekai」 OVA has convinced the producers that it was worth it to produce a full length theatrical feature.
