What would you do if you haven been carrying an umbrella on you and it starts to rain? For Today’s Japan Photo, we will be checking out the umbrella vending machine that provides much needed convenience during wet weather conditions.

Actually I have seen similar vending machines in Singapore but the ones that they sell are really flimsy, probably enough to help you get to the next destination. Then again, I wouldn’t need to buy one because I always carry an umbrella wherever I go.

I was caught in the rain last night while out exercising and I had to wait out the rain. For Today’s Japan Photo, we will be taking a look at a busy traffic crossing in Shibuya on a rainy day.

I absolutely love this photo because it’s so interesting to see so many people carrying umbrellas and walking in different directions. It feels just like a classic movie scene somewhere.

Evangelion AT-Field Umbrella

This umbrella is totally awesome and I would love to have one to accompany me to work on rainy days. But it is just too expensive for an unbrella, and I still have my Blade Runner Umbrella.

Shoulderbrella Keeps Your Hands Free

Its always troublesome during rainy days when you have to hold the umbrella in one hand and try to carry the rest of your stuffs in the other. Now the Japanese has come with their latest range of hands-free umbrella – the Shoulderbrella.

It is actually a flexible piece of sponge-thingy that allows you to attach the umbrella handle and then warp it around your shoulders. Alternatively, you can try wrapping it around your head as well ^^

Blade Runner Umbrella – Looks Like A LightSaber Too

Folks who have watched Blade Runner would have remember seeing the folks inside the movie carrying umbrella with led tubes that light up.

Now for about 25 USD, you can also buy these cool looking umbrella from those online geek stores. They look really cool, kinda like a lightsaber cum umbrella.

Flying Umbrella Ended In Schoolboy’s Eye

Here’s a very good reason why you shouldn’t play around with your umbrella indoors. You might really poke someone’s eye out.

This freak accident happened in a high school in Yokohama, whereby a high school boy is now lying unconscious in hospital after an umbrella that a classmate was swinging in their classroom broke, flying into his left eye.

His friend was swinging around an umbrella like a baseball bat in a classroom when it came loose from its handle, sticking into the victim’s left eye.

This is such an unfortunate accident. How could you ever face you friend again if you were the one responsible for poking his eye out and nearly killing him.
