Square Enix has released a trailer and images of the upcoming DLC that will be released starting 22 Dec.

The first DLC will be the Omega Colosseum monster that will be released on 22 Dec 2011 for 300 yen for the PS3 and 240 microsoft points for the Xbox 360.

Then after, the first set of costumes for Noel and Sarah will be released on 10 Jan 2012 for 300 yen for the PS3 and 240 microsoft points for the Xbox 360. The costumes change can be triggered from the pause menu.

AKB48 member Oshima Yuko was one of the Final Fantasy XIII-2 Judge 13 Game Testers, and at a launch event this morning, she appeared in one of the costume that she designed and it will be downloadable as a DLC item.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 will be released next week in Japan on 15 Dec 2011. Meanwhile here’s the first CM promoting the game in Japan.

This is probably one of the first FF game in the franchise that I’m not particularly excited about its release. Hope Square Enix will do better with the upcoming games.

Square Enix scored another impressive first week sales with its latest release of Final Fantasy Type-O for the PSP.

According to the Media Create sales chart, more than 470,000 copies were sold in the first week when the game was released on 27 Oct 2011.

According to Andriasang, the sales results were similar to other Square Enix previous releases where Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII sold around 470,000 and Dissidia Final Fantasy sold 500,000 within the first week.

So how many of you have already gotten the game? There’s a ton of games that are being release in Nov & Dec that I would love to play but I’m simply to tight up at the moment >_<

Square Enix has uploaded the game opening for their PSP game “Final Fantasy Type-0 (Reishiki)” onto their official youtube channel.

The game was just released in Japan this week on 27 Oct 2011 and retails for around 7,700 yen.

Square Enix wants to convince gamers that the upcoming Final Fantasy XIII-2 is a game that was excellently developed and thoroughly tested. Apart from recruiting AKB48 member Oshima Yuko as the official game tester, Square Enix has recruited twelve other interesting personalities to form their “Judge 13″ testing party.

The official website has been launched and it features an introduction of each game tester. The testers come from different walks of life, including cosplayers, mangaka, seiyuu and game critics, but they all have on thing in common – they love gaming and they love the Final Fantasy franchise.

Apparently each of the judges will be posting their test report on the site, so you might want to check from time to time to see how the project turns out.

This was unveiled in a short CM where Oshima receives a stack of name card and the FF XII-2 rom disc from Square Enix staff.

The game is confirmed for released in Japan on 15 Dec 2011, followed by North America on 31 Jan 2012 and 3 Feb 2012 for Europe.

Square Enix has uploaded a twelve minute long extended trailer for their upcoming PSP game Final Fantasy Type-0 (Reishiki). The trailer showcases different aspect of the gameplay from exploration to actual fights.

The game is scheduled for release on 27 Oct 2011 and will be retailing for around 7,700 yen.

The theme song featured in the trailer is titled “Yakusoku no Basho”, which is sung by Mai Fukui. Apparently the English version of the game will have a separate song sung by Charice.
