The latest episode of Softbank White Family commercial has a special guest model Reina Triendl joining them for a homestay program.

At first the family thinks that she comes from Hawaii in the USA, but she is actually from Hawai, Tottori Prefecture and speaks using “gal language”. I’m quite curious as to what does “てへぺろ” mean though.

As we cross over to the New Year, Softbank’s mascot Otosan is still drifting about in space, fulfilling his dreams of being an astronaut. Oddly enough a bowl of ramen appears from deep outer space and starts floating towards Earth.

After successfully blasting off into space, Softbank mascot dog Otosan sends his Merry Christmas greetings from the International Space Station. In addition, he bumps into Santa while he’s hovering in space.

Can’t help laughing seeing a dog in a astronaut space suit.

Back in July, we saw Ultraman making his first cameo appearance in the Softbank White Family commercials to promote the their Ultra Wifi service. It was for a brief moment but quite exciting for tokusatsu fans like myself.

Looking at the specs offered, I’m quite suprised that their Ultra Wifi service actually allows a download speed of 42Mbps at quite a reasonable price. Someone needs to tell Ultraman to come down to Singapore and introduce this service as well.

Softbank has cleverly combined all the White Family commercials that was previously aired during the summer and turned it into a short story “白戸家の故郷の夏” with narrative. The short story also includes some footages that were not included previously to make the story more complete.

The White Family seems like an awesome bunch and they certainly had great fun during the summer. Looking forward to seeing more of their funny antics in the next season ^^

Its quite cool that they are releasing iPhone cover of the White Family. I would love to have one of those covers with Otosan or Ueto Aya ^^

However, the most absurd thing was Otosan mother suggesting that they formed a rock band. Otosan looks so kawaii with the star drawn around his right eye.

Last year Matsuda Shota was introduced as Otosan’s new dad as part of the Softbank commercial series. This year he is returns to his role as “Ojiichan (grandfather) and he will be wearing a cool white suit.

He’s really quite cool in the commercial and when asked where he went after his brief introduction at the hot spring trip, he replied to his wife that he was “inside her dream”. As usual Otosan isn’t that welcoming of his new stepdad ^^.

Actually Ultraman appearance was sorta used as a pun for their Ultra Wifi service.
