Square Enix scored another impressive first week sales with its latest release of Final Fantasy Type-O for the PSP.

According to the Media Create sales chart, more than 470,000 copies were sold in the first week when the game was released on 27 Oct 2011.

Source: 4gamer.net

According to Andriasang, the sales results were similar to other Square Enix previous releases where Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII sold around 470,000 and Dissidia Final Fantasy sold 500,000 within the first week.

So how many of you have already gotten the game? There’s a ton of games that are being release in Nov & Dec that I would love to play but I’m simply to tight up at the moment >_<

Most of the time, blockbuster games that we play are either created in the US or Japan. I would never had imagined playing a game that is made entirely Singapore but there’s a chance of it happening in the future as Singapore’s Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP) and Sony Computer Entertainment Asia (SCE Asia) signed a new 5-year memoradum of understanding to further cement their partnership at the S$4 million NYP Games Resource Centre – the only PlayStation® games development and training centre in South-east Asia.

NYP also announced the first ever student-initiated PlayStation® Minis under development at the NYP Games Resource Centre. PhaseShift: Threat Beyond The Network is a game in full scale production, created by a group of NYP students on the PlayStation® Portable game platform in the NYP Games Resource Centre.

The official website for the upcoming Puella Magi Madoka Magica PSP game has been updated with a promotional trailer, revealing more staff and gameplay details.

The game is expected to have multiple endings and will feature all the full henshin sequence of the magical girls (including the first release of Madoka’s sequence and Homura’s megane henshin). The most awesome news is that the game will be voiced by the original anime cast seiyuu.

The regular edition will cost 6,480 yen (about US$84), while the limited-pressing pre-order edition will cost 11,990 yen. The “Limited Contract Box” will contain a figma figure of Madoka Kaname in her school uniform, a Blu-ray Disc with “special footage,” a Kyubey-shaped pouch, a Homu-Homu handkerchief, a special clear card, a SHAFT-illustrated box, and the game UMD itself with an exclusive picture label. People who pre-order the game will receive a clip of actual film from the new transformation sequences, as well as a serial code for a custom PSP theme.

Dengeki Playstation magazine has confirmed that the popular anime series Puella Magi Madoka Magica (魔法少女まどか☆マギカ) will be adapted into a game for the PSP console.

The game will be an adventure dungeon crawler and it is currently being scheduled for release on 15 Mar 2012. The regular edition will cost 6,480 yen, while the limited pre-order edition will cost 11,990 yen.

It is being developed by Namco Bandai together with the anime’s head writer Gen Urobuchi (Fate/Zero), while Shaft (the studio that made the anime series) will be involved in making the animation cut scenes for the game.

Seems like this will be a hit game for the Madoka fans. Hope they will be releasing a trailer soon.

Capcom has released two new commercials for their upcoming Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD, featuring Japanese celebrities Satoru Inoue and Maki Gotou.

The game is scheduled for release on 25 Aug 2011. I always like how Capcom indicate the playtime of their guests within the CM, Satoru Inoue (play time 875 hours) and Maki Gotou (play time 136 hours), to show how addictive is their MHP3.
