Gyakuten Saiban (逆転裁判), also known as Ace Attorney, is celebrating its 10th anniversary and Capcom announced that they will be releasing the fifth game in the franchise. In addition, Capcom also announced plans to release the first three games in high definition for iOS and Android platforms.

For those unfamiliar with Gyakuten Saiban, players assume the role of a defense attorney in a fictional courtroom setting, which is based on the Japanese legal system, to strive to find their clients “not guilty” using investigation, evidence, and cross-examination to prove their case.

This is definitely a great year for fans of the franchise with the movie due to premier in Japanese cinemas on 11 Feb 2012 and a new game in the works.

Sega has uploaded onto youtube the retailers promotional video for their upcoming Nintendo 3DS game “Hatsune Miku and Future Stars Project Mirai” that will be released on 8 Mar 2012.

After watching the PV, its almost quite impossible not to fall in love with all the kawaii Nendoroid Vocaloids that will be featured in the game. The game will be retailing for around 5,800 yen and interested folks can place your preorders with CDJapan:

Japanese publication Nikkei Trendy published an interesting rumor in its latest issue, speculating possibilities of Nintendo releasing “3DS Lite” citing that fans would prefer a slimmer form factor with longer battery life. Similarly the article also speculates that Monster Hunter 4 originally announced for Nintendo 3DS could possibly be released on the PS Vita as well.

Based on a normal production cycle, I would say that its too early for Nintendo to refresh their 3DS line, especially since it has been released for less than a year and sales hasn’t been that steady.

Sega has released a new commercial to promote their upcoming Nintendo 3DS game “Hatsune Miku and Future Stars Project Mirai” that will be released on 8 Mar 2012.

Apart from new songs being featured in the game, the most interesting bit is that the augmented reality feature that allows Miku to interact with the environment around you.

A new 90 seconds trailer for the upcoming Live-Action Gyakuten Saiban (逆転裁判) Movie, otherwise know as Ace Attorney, has been released. Similarly it has been subbed in English.

In this new trailer, it is revealed that movie theme song is “2012 Spark” that is performed by Porno Graffitti. The movie will open in Japanese theaters on 11 Feb 2012.

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Dragon Quest, Family Mart convenience stores had been selling yummy Blue Slimes Meatbuns.

Inside-games reports that within a short period of 1 week, over 1 million of these meatbun had been shipping! Fans who had yet to try them should really act fast while stock lasts because they are not producing anymore of them.

Next week, Capcom will be releasing their latest game in the Monster Hunter franchise, Monster Hunter 3G on the Nintendo 3DS. To get everyone hyped up about the game, they have posted the game opening on their official youtube channel.

Capcom will also be release a game demo for players to try out the game before it is released. The demo will include two challenges that is set in an icy field and the another in an water environment.

They don’t really look that appetizing to me because I never associated any food had turned blue as being edible. Maybe you could still hear their tiny screams as you tear the meatbuns apart XD

Popular Japanese boy band Arashi are featured in this new commercial for the upcoming Mario Kart 7 game to be released on the Nintendo 3D. Its quite hilarious to see Ninomiya dressed up as Mario just like what he did for the earlier Super Mario 3D Land CM-.

Anyway, the game is expected to be release on 1 Dec 2011 for Japan, 2 Dec for EU and 4 Dec for US.
