Sanrio has announced its latest crossover with the popular gaming franchise Monster Hunter. Instead of the featuring Hello Kitty, it will feature Sanrio’s My Melody and Kuromi characters doing a cross over with Monster Hunter’s Airou.

Expect a series of merchandises such as stationeries (e.g. clear files, notebooks), clothing, and other accessories that will be rolled out in August.

Of course, there are also other items on the item that look much more appetising. Personally I think the meat from Monster Hunter looks the most promising, and probably taste better than the “Brain Cake”.

Japanese publication Nikkei Trendy published an interesting rumor in its latest issue, speculating possibilities of Nintendo releasing “3DS Lite” citing that fans would prefer a slimmer form factor with longer battery life. Similarly the article also speculates that Monster Hunter 4 originally announced for Nintendo 3DS could possibly be released on the PS Vita as well.

Based on a normal production cycle, I would say that its too early for Nintendo to refresh their 3DS line, especially since it has been released for less than a year and sales hasn’t been that steady.

Monster Hunter is an adored franchise whichever console it lands on and Nintendo 3DS fans sure are lucky to get the Monster Hunter 3G and the upcoming Monster Hunter 4.

Capcom has just announced that it has shipped 1 million copies of Monster Hunter 3G in Japan. Capcom had previously set a sales target of 1.2 million copies by Mar 2012 and it seems like the game is well on track to meeting the targets.

Next week, Capcom will be releasing their latest game in the Monster Hunter franchise, Monster Hunter 3G on the Nintendo 3DS. To get everyone hyped up about the game, they have posted the game opening on their official youtube channel.

Capcom will also be release a game demo for players to try out the game before it is released. The demo will include two challenges that is set in an icy field and the another in an water environment.

Capcom has uploaded a series of commercials for the upcoming Nintendo 3DS game – Monster Hunter Tri G that features Ainyan, Nana and Maachun from the idol group NMB48.

They look so adorable in their monster hunter outfit that I’m sure they would be able to easily capture any monster with their kawaii charms

At today’s Nintendo 3DS press conference, it was announced that the the next Monster Hunter game in the franchise will be coming to the Nintendo 3DS platform.

Capcom has released the concept video that was shown during the press conference onto youtube. Gameplay looks really impressive though there wasn’t much fighting action.

Back in April we got a sneak peek at Capcom upcoming game “Monster Hunter Diary: Poka Poka Felyne Village G” that is scheduled for release on 26 Aug 2011. Now Capcom has uploaded the game’s opening scene to entice everyone to get the game because it is just so darn kawaii that is difficult to resist!!

So if you had to choose between this game or the upcoming Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD, which would you prefer?

Capcom has released two new commercials for their upcoming Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD, featuring Japanese celebrities Satoru Inoue and Maki Gotou.

The game is scheduled for release on 25 Aug 2011. I always like how Capcom indicate the playtime of their guests within the CM, Satoru Inoue (play time 875 hours) and Maki Gotou (play time 136 hours), to show how addictive is their MHP3.

These delicious Monster Hunter curry bread will be sold in convenience stores in Japan starting Aug 2011.
