The Hello Kitty character goods that Sanrio manages to conceive never fails to amaze me. This time they are out to entice fans with some special Hello Kitty Melon! (Actually its just Hello Kitty being branded on the outside of a melon.

So how much do you have to pay for this abomination fruit? Just 5,000 yen ^^”

The day that they ever managed to turn the melon pink inside, Sanrio is gonna sell these Hello Kitty for 50,000 yen. I’m quite confident of it!!

16 Melons Got Knifed Outside Supermarket

Its summer time and eating juicy melons is a good way to cool off. But someone seems to really hate the fruit because someone slashed 16 melons outside a supermarket in Yamanashi Prefecture.

Pair of Melons Auctioned For 2.5 million Yen

Its always nice to have some juicy melons to chase the summer heat away. But I’m sure the summer heat has gotten to some of the people in Japan because a pair of prized Yubari melons were auctioned for a record price of 2.5 million yen (24 000 USD)!

I understand that the insane prices of these Yubari melon began when the city of Yubari was in a state of bankruptcy a few years back.

The trend first started by being auction for 600,000 yen for a pair in 2005, 800,000 yen in 2006 and 2 million yen in 2007.

But I think the city is now sucking punching fruits lovers.

2.5 million yen shouldn’t just fetch you a pair of melons, it should be an entire harvest!
