Haruka Ayase Wants You To Eat KFC During New Year Gatherings

Kentucky not only wants Japanese folks to celebrate Christmas with their fried chicken, now they have gotten the lovely Haruka Ayase in their latest commercial to try and convince you that you should eat chicken on New Year Day too! ^^

I find it rather amusing to see her wearing a traditional costume and holding a bucket of fried chicken.

How many of you knows that our favorite chicken man, Colonel Sanders’ birthday actually falls on 9th September? Well Haruka Ayase is here to remind everyone of that special day whereby KFC Japan will have a special Colonel birthday pack.

She looks so kawaii even when she is just biting into the piece of chicken. I’m used to be a big fan of KFC but I’d still choose Ayase-san anyday over a juicy piece of chicken.

For some unknown reason, the Colonel Sanders in Japan has an amazing wardrobe and we have already seen him wear Samurai armor, and meido costume and yukata. This time round I wonder if he had signed any contact with Gainax ….

I understand that the weather is hot, but isn’t it kinda unprofessional for our favorite fried chicken man – Colonel Sanders to be wearing Yukata instead of his usual suit. LOL

Colonel Sanders just loves cosplaying and after his brief attempt at being Meido Sanders, now he’s back as Samurai Sanders!

These photos were taken by DannyChoo. His outfit is rather cool except his sword is just kinda limp. (Well you can’t expect much from an old man)

I wonder what other sort of costumes would Sanders try on next?

KFC Orders: No More Meido Sanders

Well the big guys at the top of KFC finally found out about the meido cosplaying ol’ Sanders in their Akihabara KFC branch and they weren’t that happy about it. LOL

So Colonel Sanders has been ordered to take off his costume and end his cross-dressing meido days once and for all and revert back to the plain boring white suit.

I wonder if Ronald McDonalds would try a similar stunt in the near future.

The Truth Behind Meido Colonel Sanders

I’m sure many of you must be wondering why the KFC in Akihabara dressed up their poor mascot Colonel Sanders as a meido.

Well AkibaBlog made a phone call to them and checked it out for us. The reason was actually simple:

There were little customers coming to the KFC in Akiba, so they decided that since all the other eating outlets and cafes were using meido as a calling card, why can’t Colonel Sanders be dressed up like that as well.

Here’s a look at the outlet before Sanders was “cosplaying” as a meido. LOL

I’m sure everyone loves Colonel Sanders famous recipe fried chicken at KFC. But can you imagine seeing him wearing a meido uniform outside a KFC outlet?!

Anyway this statue of Colonel Sanders in meido uniform was seen outside a real KFC outlet in Akihabara.

I guess they couldn’t just hire some meido as waitresses inside a KFC outlet so they decided to dressed up poor old Sanders into a meido instead.
