Japan is one of the fashion capital in the world and you’d expect to see many different variety of fashion magazine targeted at different readers.

Gentosha Comics has released a new fashion magazine titled “Moeurs” that is catered to the otaku whom still enjoy fashion, where their featured models are not real human but cuter girls by illustrations than real girls. The book summarizes Japanese young girls’ fashion classifies all genres of them into 10 genres and explain their features in detail. At the same time not only their fashions but also their lifestyles are introduces.

The kawaii 2D girls in the magazine were drawn by popular mangakas and illustrators of light novels and even popular ones from pixiv.

I thought its a really interesting magazine and even though you might be a guy, it would still be useful to pick up the magazine and know what is the difference between the “Mori (Forest) Girl” style and the “Gyaru” style.

They are being sold by E☆2 magazine and are being sold for a hefty price of 10,000 yen.

I don’t think they are really worth it since keyboards usually get dirty very fast. Furthermore, for 10,000 yen, I can get a really good gaming keyboard.

I thought this figure looked really cool instead of the usual figure that is based on anime/manga series. Probably because it feels closer to life.

The artwork below are from the regional artist. I really like the Ranka Lee artwork.

Last up is the artwork from the folks at Imaginary Friends Studios.

My favorite artwork of the entire exhibition would be this illustration of Cute Girl by Chris Ng.

I’m really impressed by the standard of the illustrations being produced by the Singapore local talents and also the regional artists. You can tell that these folks have really honed their skills well and also loved what they are doing.

So I took a couple of photos of the Kaleidoscope 2008 which I have mentioned earlier.

I’m really impressed with some of the regional artist and of course those in Singapore as well.

It is being held at Funan Digital Mall and will be showcasing digital illustrations, of course. I think there will be losta moe illustrations.

According to YoU, the set was drawn by different illustrators, such as Hiro Suzuhira, Tenmaso, Aruchu Kizuki, etc. So if you are interested, you can head over to view the entire collection.

Its too bad the resolution are too small. I would have prefer them to be of larger resolution so I can print them out. =P

This brand of win is rather limited and they will only be producing 1,000 bottles, which will be retailed for only 1,200 yen each.
