Alter has started preorder for this cool scaled figure of Naoe Kanetsugu (直江兼続) from the Hyakka Ryouran (百花繚乱) series. She looks so cool with her gigantic sledgehammer that is capable of knocking down heavy gates and creating fissures when slammed down to the ground.

Penguin Parade has announced preorder for the scaled figure of Yagyu Jubei from the Hyakka-Ryoran franchise of Hobby Japan’s 40th Anniversary. While there have already been many renditions of the same figure, the key selling point of this figure is probably the cast-off enabled feature XD

Her pose is based on the front cover of the first volume of the light novel series, and creates a very dynamic feeling along with an innocent smile across her face.

FREEing has commenced preorder for this adorable Nendoroid figure of Yagyu Jubei from the Hyakka Ryouran Samurai Girls franchise. I really liked the scaled figure that was released some time back but I never expect that she would turn into a kawaii Nendoroid.

Preorders has commenced for this mail-in exclusive figure of Matabei Goto from the Hyakka-Ryoran series by Alter. Interested folks would need to purchase the Dec 2010 and Jan 2011 issue of Hobby Japan magazine, fill in the order form that comes with the magazine and mail it to Hobby Japan

She is scheduled to be release in May 2011 and will be retailing for 8,190 yen inclusive of shipping. Very lovely pose and sexy outfit and her spear just adds 100 points to the coolsome factor. Folks who are interested can approach your favorite proxies such as Tokyohunter for assistance.

1/8 Yagyu Jubei PVC [Megahouse Ver.]

Here’s a preview magazine scan of another figure of Yagyu Jubei from the Hyakka-Ryoran franchise and this time the figure is jointly produced by Megahouse and Hobby Japan.

The figure is scheduled to be released in Jan 2011, and will be retailing for 7,980 yen. Unfortunately, it is an mail-in exclusive figures and you have to order with a copy of Hobby Japan. Preorders have already commenced and will continue until 10 Sept 2010.

This is indeed a very lovely figure and I just love how the sword is spiraling around her. But then I find that she looks rather weird with that sword tied onto her right wrist.

Hyakka-Ryoran Anime Trailer

The Hyakka-Ryoran Anime Project was announced at the Tokyo Anime Fair, and here’s a first look at the trailer for the series. Anyway for those that are unaware, Hyakka-Ryoran is a series of figures that were release by Alter in conjunction with the Hobby Japan’s 40th anniversary.

After watching the trailer, I’m quite sure the series is going to follow the style of Queens Blade and Ikkitousen.

Been anticipating this figure for quite some time. I particularly like this figure because there are very few out there that wield a Naginata [薙刀].

Here’s a scanned picture from the latest issue of Hobby Japan magazine, featuring the upcoming Senhime [千姫] figure from the Hyakka-Ryoran series.

The scan does not reveal the date of release nor the retail price, but I guess it preorder should be commencing pretty soon. I really love the outfit and character design for this figure, so its definitely a must-buy for me ^^

As I had mentioned previously, this figure is a limited release where 1,500 pieces would be made available via mail-in preorder from Hobby Japan. She is scheduled for release in Mar 2010 and will be retailing for 6,980 yen.
