Sanrio is launching a very special one day collaboration with restaurant chain Hooters on Valentine’s Day in Tokyo Japan.

The first 1000 customers that visit the restaurant will be able to get a limited edition Hello Kitty x Hooters Pin Badge. A rather weird collaboration since I thought that Hello Kitty didn’t meet the minimum criteria to work at Hooters XD

After a successful collaboration with One Piece, Sanrio is now expanding their collaboration to partner with another popular anime franchise – Evangelion.

The range of merchandises, including stationery, clothing, plushies, etc are expected to be released together with the premier of Evangelion: 3.0: Q Quickening, where we can see Hello Kitty dressed up like Rei Ayanami and Shikinami Asuka Langley.

Hello Kitty pervasive invasion into everyone’s life in Japan is unstoppable. Now if your love ones have a painful tooth due for extraction, you can bring them to the “Hearts Dental Clinic“, a Hello Kitty themed dental clinic that has just recently opening in Koto Ward in Tokyo, Japan.

The dentist behind the clinic had wanted to do away with the image that dental clinics are a painful and scary place to visit. Hence, they remodelled the clinic and now right from the reception area to the examination rooms, you will be able to see Hello Kitty appear in some kawaii form Of course, the rooms all have pink or white walls to match the theme.

It would be kinda creepy if someone wearing a Hello Kitty suit suddenly appeared and wanted to check my teeth.

CircleK Sunkus [サークルK・サンクス] chain of convenience stores in Japan has started selling these really kawaii Hello Kitty Buns that contain custard filling inside them. Not only does the bun has the adorable face of Hello Kitty, the bun even has a tiny pink bow on top. Each of them goes for 150 yen.

For Today’s Japan Photo, we take a look at the Hello Kitty jet which was launched by Taiwan’s EVA Airways on 31 Oct 2011. Actually this is the second time that the airlines has launched the Hello Kitty airplanes with the first batch flying in the air for 2005.

The Hello Kitty Jet will be servicing routes from Taiwan to Japan. It is said that passengers will be given Hello Kitty boarding passes and baggage stickers. Everything onboard the plan is also decorated with Hello Kitty from the headrest cover to the inflight meals and even the flight attendants will wear Hello Kitty aprons.
