Gantz: Perfect Answer Movie Trailer

The second GANTZ live action movie is due for release on 23 Apr 2011, and the official website has been updated with a new movie trailer.

Lead actor Kenichi Matsuyama has earlier revealed that the second movie will have its own story and a different ending that deviates from the original manga series. Hence it would be really interesting to see fans’ reception to the sequel.

Great news for US fans because the upcoming GANTZ live-action movie is set to open in American theaters on 20 Jan 2011. That is more than 1 week ahead of Japan, where the movie is scheduled to open on 29 Jan 2011. As for the second movie, it is tentatively scheduled to premier on 23 Apr 2011.

Gantz Live-Action Movie Full Trailer

GANTZ’s official website for the live-action movie adaptation has been updated with a new full length 90 seconds trailer over the weekend, and it reveals more footages from the upcoming movie.

The movie is being adapted into 2 parts and the first part will premier in Japan on 29 Jan 2011, while the second part will be opening in Spring 2011 .

Here’s the first official trailer for the Gantz live-action movie that was uploaded onto the official movie website. It gives a quick run-through of the cast you would expect to see in this show and it looks really awesome.

I think movie adaptation of manga/anime series should still be left to the Japanese and not Hollywood. The movie will be premiering in Japan in Jan 2010 and I can’t wait for it to be shown in Singapore as well.

Gantz Live-Action Movie Will Be Screened Outside Japan

Fans who are eagerly anticipating to watch the live-action movie adaption of Gantz would be delighted to know that the movie is going to be screened overseas!

France is one of the first confirmed country that will be showing the movie, and negotiations had started back in May during the Cannes Film Festival. Other confirmed counties include Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Indonesia.

Apart from Space Battleship Yamato Live-Action Movie, Gantz is the next Japanese movie on my must-watch list, so I’ve totally ecstatic that the movie will be shown in Singapore. Now I just hope it will be screen in Japanese with subtitles.

Here’s a couple of scans from Shukan Young Jump Magazine 2010 No.10 with an article featuring the GANTZ live-action movie and actress Watanabe Natsuna 渡辺夏菜 who will be playing the role of Kei Kishimoto [岸本恵].

Its been confirmed that the movie will have the infamous scene where Kei Kishimoto materialises naked in the GANTZ apartment after slitting her wrist in the bathtub.

Last October, it was announced that the anime/manga Gantz [ガンツ] would be adapted into a live-action movie, and is scheduled for release in 2011.

After waiting for a few months, a teaser trailer for the live-action movie has finally been released. Too bad it doesn’t reveal much about the movie.
