figma Drossel (Charming)

MaxFactory has announced preorder for the figma figure of Drossel from the anime Fireball Charming. If you loved the previous Drossel, you’d probably love this even more because the articulation would be very smooth as the elbow and knees are fitted with double joints.

She is scheduled for release in Mar 2012 and will be retailing for around 4,800 yen. Interested folks can place your preorders with CDJapan, HobbyLink Japan, and Hobby Search.

They also bundled quite alot of lovely accessories for this figma with her big bright red cape and the really cool “Astrology Unit”. Can’t wait for her to be released so that I can start bringing her out everywhere for photoshoots.

Nendoroid Mickey Mouse

GSC has commenced preroder for their 100th Nendoroid, featuring Walt Disney’s Mickey Mouse.

Mickey is scheduled for release in Oct 2010, and will be retailing for around 3,500 yen. Interested folks can place your preorders with Hobby Search, Hobby Link Japan or Otacute. Its just my personal opinion, but no matter how I look at it, this doesn’t look like a Nendoroid figure in any way.

Mika-tan has updated the GSC blog with preview image of the 100th Nendoroid, which is Mickey Mouse from Disney. Somehow he doesn’t seems to be a Nendoroid in my opinion.

However, Micky does comes along with some really cool accessories – director’s chair, megaphone, etc.

Disneyland is really a cool place to visit when you are a kid, and watching this video just bring back good memories. I especially loved the part when it was taken in the night.

Walt Disney Acquires Marvel For US$4 Billion

All the wonderful superheroes under the Marvel Comics will soon be joining Micky Mouse and friends because Disney has acquired Marvel Entertainment for an incredible US$4 billion deal.

Here’s what the big boys who orchestrated the business deal has to say:

“We believe that adding Marvel to Disney’s unique portfolio of brands provides significant opportunities for long-term growth and value creation,” Disney president and chief executive Robert Iger said.

“We are pleased to bring this talent and these great assets to Disney.”

Other Marvel’s characters include Captain America, the Fantastic Four and Thor.

“Disney is the perfect home for Marvel’s fantastic library of characters given its proven ability to expand content creation and licensing businesses,” said Marvel chief executive Ike Perlmutter.

“This is an unparalleled opportunity for Marvel to build upon its vibrant brand and character properties by accessing Disney’s tremendous global organization and infrastructure around the world,” he added.

Micky Mouse Transformer

Mickey Mouse and Transformers were both my favorite TV shows growing up. But I never thought someday I would actually see a Mickey Mouse Autobot!!

This unique transformer Mickey Mouse was showcased at Tokyo Toy Forum 2009. It can even transform into a truck just like Optimus Prime.

Disney Stitch USB Humidifier – So Cute!~

Japanese know how to make everything cute. For instance, this Humidifier that features the DIsney character Stitch. It is a USB Humidifier but it looks just plain awesome.

1KG Pure Gold Micky Mouse Statue

Ever wondered how Mickey Mouse would look like in pure gold? Well Walt Disney has manufactured a 1KG pure gold statue of Micky and now its having a showcase tour in Ginza Tanaka shops all over Japan.

Anyway this statue was created in commemoration of the National Treasure Book of Secrets DVD & Blu-ray release.

This gold statue of Mickey cost a whopping 10 million yen (1 million USD)!
