CLANNAD Model Ita-Train

Spotted this cool model CLANNAD ita-train on Akiba Kakaku. What’s so special about this train? It is a replica of the real ita-train that was in service during 2007 for the promotion of CLANNAD anime series.

Here’s a closer look at the train, loved the cute dango and Kyou decals on the side of the train. (If you look closely, there is a tiny botan at the bottom right corner too ^^

I prefer model itasha to trains. Not a big fan of trains because I can never get a seat on the packed trains during peak hours.

CLANNAD USB Mouse

These USB mouse feature Nagisa and Tomoyo from the anime series CLANNAD.

They are scheduled for release in March 2009 and will be retailing for 6,300 yen.

Even though the mouse looks really good, they are still way too expensive. I would rather spend the money on a Razer gaming mouse instead.

Dango Boxers

When I first saw this, I just couldn’t stop laughing to myself. While I know otakus would proudly wear their Cospa T-shirts, I wonder whether this dango boxers are only made for the brave ones.

This pair of boxers is scheduled for release on 22 January 2009 and will be retailing for 1,260 yen.

Clannad Trailer For Tomoyo Chapter OVA

TBS has released a trailer for the upcoming Clannad OVA special for Tomoyo Chapter.

Here’s the trailer uploaded onto youtube:

This OVA’s plot revolves around another path where Tomoya is dating Sakagami Tomoyo .

This OVA will also be released together with the final volume of DVD release.

Virtual World Of Bishoujo Characters – ai sp@ce

Always wanted to live in a world where you can just walk around and interact with characters from your favorite bishoujo games? Soon you’d be able to live your dreams in ai@space.

According to the latest report on ITmedia, five companies have come together to develop a virtual world like second life but with a bishoujo game twist to it.

Players can have their own avatar and then also have their own accompanying character dolls. Then they can log into one of the “island” and start experiencing their fantasy life with their favorite characters from bishoujo games.

As of now, users can expect to see characters from CLANNAD, Shuffle!, and D.C. II.

The main interaction hub would be simulated to look just like Akihabara, so otakus don’t even have to go to leave their house to go to Akiba anymore!! In my opinion, Akihabara does looks very realistic. I think they will be using all the advertising space there to sell things.

And all games should have a theme song, so KOTOKO will also be performing the first theme song for the game.

The game is still under development so everything is still to early to say. But I’d be looking forward to this game.

Free Streaming of Air Movie

In celebration of the upcoming Clannad movie opening in Japan on September 15, Animate.tv is treating anime fans to a free streaming of the 2004 Air movie.

The movie can be streamed from here.

The movie is split into 3 parts for streaming. Sadly the website don’t work well on firefox, so users must access the movie stream from the dreaded Internet Explorer instead, whereby then the movie is streamed on Windows Media Player.

Anyway they shamelessly inserted the Clanned trailer right at the started. No harm doing some promotion eh. LOL

Now it would be even better if they could just insert some subtitles =P
