Gravure Idol China Fukunaga Taking A Break

China Fukunaga 福永ちな has been featured quite a number of times for my Weekend Gravure Feature. Just last week, she announced that she will be taking a short break from show business because she has found something she wanted to do outside of the entertainment industry.

The announcement can be seen on her talent agency official website as well:

皆さんにご報告したいことがあります。東京に来て、芸能のお仕事を6年間やってきて色んないい経験、いい勉強が出来ました。その経験を生かし、今後芸能とは分野が違うのですが、他にやりたいことが見つかり、事務所とも相談を重ね、一旦芸能のお仕事をお休みすることにしました。また機会があれば、何か芸能にも関わる仕事ができれば嬉しく思ってます。また皆さんにご報告ができるように頑張っていきたいと思います。これまで福永ちなを応援してくださった皆さん、本当にありがとうございます。感謝してます。

The decision was made after discussions with her management agency, it was officially decided that she would halt her activities as an idol while she pursues her new interest. However, there is no indication of whether she would return to the gravure industry.

Quite sad to see such a popular gravure idol leave the industry but she probably realised that she is getting too old, and its just too tough to compete with the younger idols. I think the only idol that is surviving past the 30s range would be Aki Hoshino.

Been a long time since I posted 2 idols together at one go. So here’s another treat for all you gravure fans. The 2 gravure idols featured this week are Yuzuki Aikawa 愛川ゆず季 (on the left) and China Fukunaga 福永ちな (on the right).

China Fukunaga has been featured frequently on this site, so no need to any more introduction. As for Yuzuki Aikawa, she belongs to the same agency with China Fukunaga, and she’s was apparently majoring in foreign languages before being an idol.

As they always say “Two is better than one”. Therefore, this week gravure gallery will be having 2 gravure idols at one go. The 2 gravure idols featured this week are Yuika Hotta 堀田ゆい夏 (on the left) and China Fukunaga 福永ちな (on the right).

I have featured Yuika Hotta previously in July, and I must say she’s a real beauty. As for China Fukunaga, I must say she’s really sexy as well, though I would prefer Yuika Hotta to her.
