1 Oct is a special day for those wearing glasses because the associations affiliated with eyewear has designated it as “Glasses Day (メガネの日)”. To coincide with this special day, Oricon conducted a poll with teenagers and adults and asked which celebrities look good wearing glasses.

Actor Yashima Norito (八嶋智人) and singer Angela Aki (アンジェラ・アキ) were respectively voted as best looking celebrity with glasses in the male and female category.

I find it quite interesting that glasses which were originally meant for vision correction has become popular as a fashion item. I’ve seen quite a number of folks that wear glasses with simply the frame and no lenses. Meanwhile, here’s a song from Angela Aki that I shall dedicate to all the folks wearing glasses ^^

Ken Watanabe has created quite a number of such videos and all these can be found under kizuna311. He hopes that all these messages will help to inspires the power of Kizuna (絆 meaning ”bond”) among the victims and demostrate Kizuna to the rest of the world.

She had met Schwarz last Aug during the shooting of her music video “Virgin Road” where Schwarz had played her husband in the music video. Then in October, he appeared in two more of her music videos, for the songs “Love Song” and “Last angel.” Within those two months, the two became very close, frequently exchanging e-mails and phone calls.

Hamasaki’s management has acknowledged her announcement. Although she does not have any upcoming work in her schedule at the moment, it is said that she does not plan on retiring. It is also reported that she is not pregnant.

Ameba Blog has revealed that the password for some 450 celebrity blogs were compromised last Friday, after a staff noticed an unauthorized image posted on the blogs of singer Miki Fujimoto and pro wrestler Jaguar Yokota.

Clicking on the image revealed a list of around 450 user IDs, passwords and some email addresses for celebrity blogs.

The password was changed immediately and the incident was reported to the police. Since the list was used only by the system administrator, and how it was stolen remains unknown.

This is a better poll because they seperated the male from the female category. In the previous survey Japanese Celebrity With Best Smile, only 1 male celebrity – Teppei Koike managed to squeeze into the top 10.

The male celebrity that topped the poll was Sho Sakurai, a member of Arashi. He is well-known for graduating from Keio University with a degree in Economics and a known promoter of education for today’s youth in Japan.
