Initially I thought the five studios would be coming together to produce a single series, but it seems like each studio will be producing their own. The entire series will consist of seven shorts which will be compiled together as Halo Legends.

Five big animation studio will be invovled in the project including: BONES, Production I.G, Studio 4℃, Toei Animation, and Casio Entertainment.

A trailer is expected to be shown at this year’s Comic-Con event in San Diego, California, USA (July 23rd-26th.)

I think this would make a great anime since there’s losta action with characters in cool mecha suits shooting at each other. What else more do you want? ^^

As the title suggest, the anime series will depict what would happen if an 8.0 earthquake took place in Tokyo.

BONES will attempt to realistically portray the consequences of such a tremor after collecting data on actual earthquakes and interviewing people.

This looks like a really cool anime to watch out for. Can’t wait to see it in July.

The piece of news has been confirmed on the wraparound jacket band found on the latest volume of the Fullmetal Alchemist manga.

Fanboys and fangirls have been speculating about it when last month when a management document was purportedly leaked from the BONES anime studio. The document listed Fullmetal Alchemist animator Yasuhiro Irie as “Hagane 2 kantoku” (Iron/Fullmetal 2 director).

While BONES denied the existence of the docment then, it seems like they just were prepared for the news to be leaked out so early.

The story will still revolve around Renton and Eureka but the story will be told in a different fashion.

From the staff listing, it seems like the original team of the anime series will be working on the movie.

This piece of news has been further confirmed on anime director Kazuaku Moori’s official website’s diary, that his mentor Hiroshi Ōsaka passed away on the morning of September 24. Hiroshi Ōsaka was reportedly diagnosed with cancer in spring of 2007.

Hiroshi ÅŒsaka was an anime director and involved in various high profile works such as The Vision of Escaflowne, Cowboy Bebop, Macross Plus, Gundam and FullMetal Alchemist: The Movie – Conqueror of Shamballa.

For those that didn’t know Bones was founded by Sunrise staff members Masahiko Minami, Hiroshi Ousaka and Toshihiro Kawamoto in October, 1998.
