Love Plus Photo Club Allows Photo-Sharing of Your Virtual Girlfriend

Konami has opened the Love Plus Photo Club, a new online service for players of the Love Plus Arcade Colorful Clip game to share photos of their virtual girlfriends.

At the end of each session of the arcade game, players can print out a picture as souvenirs of their virtual date, and players can customised the outfit and pose of the photo.

Little Girl Taken by Lolicon at Arcade

Parents should never take their eyes off their kids even at the neighbourhood playground or arcade. Otherwise they might just fall prey to lolicon waiting for a chance to kidnap them.

A couple brought their two year old daughter to the local arcade in Sapporo Prefecture, and while they were busying gaming, they took their eyes away from their daughter. This gave the chance for a 28 year old man to led their daughter by the hand and take her out of the arcade, with the intention to molest her. Thankfully the little girl began to cry as they made their way to the next arcade, and a staff decided to alert the authorities as he thought the man looked very suspicious. The police eventually arrived and took the man into custody.

According to Kotaku, this was the second case where a small child had been kidnapped right underneath the nose of a parent. While this child had been found, the other one wasn’t that lucky.

I think its really sad that any parent would bring their child to a crowded place like the arcade and actually take their eyes off them. Someone should tell the couple off and teach them to be more responsible parents.

Finding Your Virtual True Love In The Arcade

Apart from releasing Love Plus games on the Nintendo DS console, Konami will also be bringing its love simulation game into the arcade. So get ready to find you one “true love” there as long as you have sufficient tokens XD

The trailer below showcases some of the mini-games you can play with your girlfriend such as dars. When your relationship with your virtual girlfriend has proceeded further, you can even ask her to perform a fashion show for you with her new clothes that you win in-game.

Before the gaming consoles gotten popular, arcades were places where we hang out with our buddies to challenge each other for a game of Street Fighter or Datona. Japan is probably now that few places on Earth where arcades are still thriving. Brad Crawford and his team are now making a documentary to bring us into the world of the Japanese arcade, featuring interviews with renowned arcade player Daigo Umehara (梅原大吾) and Kotaku’s editor Brian Ashcraft.

Test Your Tablecloth Pulling Skills At The Arcade

How many of you are able to pull a table cloth off a dining table without breaking any plates? If you want to hone your skills in that area, maybe you might want to check out the new arcade machine “The Tablecloth Hour” by Taito, which was being tested at the Taito Station in Shibuya, Japan this weekend.

Pixels Overrun the City

Here’s a really brilliant creative piece of work by Patrick Jean where it shows what happens when the old school pixelated arcade games breaks out of your TV and starts to overrun the city.

I particularly liked the scene where Tetris blocks was falling down from the sky and onto the skyscrapers.

Hollywood Planning For Space Invaders Movie?

Hollywood seems to believe that everything can be adapted into a movie, because Warner Bros. is currently negotiating to acquire feature rights from Taito to produce a movie based on Space Invaders.

According to LA Times Blog, if the rights issues all work out, the project would bring on Hollywood fixtures Mark Gordon, Jason Blum and Guymon Casady as producers.

Personally, I would love to see a movie made about Pac-man, and for the entire length of the movie would just be about eating cookies. LOL

AOU 2010: Melty Blood Actress Again

At this week’s Japan’s Arcade Operators Union 2010 (AOU 2010), Sega showcased the demo for the updated arcade version of the PS2 Melty Blood Actress Again 「メルティブラッドアクトレスアゲイン」. In the new arcade version, Sega has included Shiki Ryogi and Akiha Tohno from Kara no Kyoukai.
