There are so many different genres of anime series that cater to different kinds of fans. However, there are always some classic anime series that managed to attract everyone right from the first episode until the very end.

So what are the most important elements of anime that you tend to look out for when deciding whether to continue watching an anime? In a recent survey conducted by BigGlobe.jp, about 2,700 fans shared their views and ranked “Storyline” as the most important element in an anime series.

If you had been following the anime series BLEACH, you would have listened to the opening theme “HARUKAZE” which is performed by the popular female band SCANDAL.

Finally, the single is due for release in a couple of weeks time on 22 Feb 2012, and the group has released the full PV for the song.

Fans might want to get the limited edition single because they have performed covers of previous BLEACH theme songs. The Type A single contains the cover of “ALONES” (Aqua Timez),while Type B contains the cover of ＊〜Asterisk アスタリスク〜（ORANGE RANGE).

Kadokawa has uploaded a 2 minutes trailer for the upcoming Strike Witches theatrical feature that is scheduled to be release in Japanese theatres on 17 Mar 2012.

The movie is set in Europe where Yoshika Miyafuji, who lost her witch powers during the Strike Witches’ last assignment is transferred for overseas study.

During Saturday’s “Kalafina Live Tour 2012 After Eden” concert perform “in the beginning” a song that will be featured as the next opening theme song for the second season of Fate/Zero anime series.

This piece of news was also tweeted by Tower Records subsequently. The new single will be released on 18 Apr 2012 and the first press single will include the music video of the song.

After a successful collaboration with One Piece, Sanrio is now expanding their collaboration to partner with another popular anime franchise – Evangelion.

The range of merchandises, including stationery, clothing, plushies, etc are expected to be released together with the premier of Evangelion: 3.0: Q Quickening, where we can see Hello Kitty dressed up like Rei Ayanami and Shikinami Asuka Langley.

Considering that the Berserk manga is full of gore, I was expecting something a little more blood and scary for the special menu but the dishes definitely look rather tasty as compared to the scary “Brain Cake” that is being served as dessert at the Capcom Bar.

Folks who have caught the comedic anime series Kill Me Baby (キルミーベイベー) would be familiar with the dance moves done by Sonya and Yasuna during the ending theme.

The dance moves are actually mapped and bundled together as the bonus on the first volume of the manga and some otaku has taken the time out to recreate the dance moves using his favorite gunpla from Gundam Age.

This Japanese term is used to describe flat-chested girls. Other similar terms include “Hinnyu (貧乳)” and “DFC (Deliciously Flat Chest)”. It is also interesting to note that there are generally two types of pettanko characters in anime.

Typically, pettanko characters get teased for being flat-chested, and would even demonstrate an inferiority complex in that aspect when surrounded by their busty companions. Andou Mahoro (Mahoromatic), Lina Inverse (Slayers), Louise Françoise Le Blanc de La Vallière (Zero no Tsukaima) are good examples of such characters who resent the size of their chest.

Then there are another type of pettanko who are actually quite proud of being flat-chested and make their case by saying small breast would never sag. The best example that I can think of is definitely Konata (Lucky☆Star) who believes pettanko are quite valuable.

The official website for the comedy anime series Acchi Kocchi (あっちこっち) has started streaming its first trailer, which had earlier been shown at Comiket last month. The anime is scheduled for release in Apr 2012 on TBS.

The story of Ishiki’s original four-panel manga follows a tsundere (initially aloof and abrasive, but later kind-hearted) girl named Tsumiki (voiced by Rumi Ookubo), the most unsociable eyeglasses-wearing boy named Io (Nobuhiko Okamoto), and their classmates. Somehow after watching the trailer, the series seems to remind me of Lucky Star in some manner. Hoping it will be as good ^^

You might want to bookmark the Black★Rock Shooter channel on NicoNico Douga because starting 8 Feb 2012, the anime series will be streamed worldwide with subtitles in 8 different languages with each episode available online for a week.

Similar to the earlier online screening of Fate/Zero, the subtitles available are Korean, Chinese (Traditional and Simplified), English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish.
