Resonance of Fate is an upcoming RPG that I’ve been looking forward to more than FFXIII. If you haven been following the rest of my preview reports, then you should at least check out this preview video of GamesTrailers of the upcoming action-RPG from Tri-Ace.

The ability to customise characters, Japanese voice setting and unique battle system are three great reasons why I might be playing this game on my PS3 instead of FFXIII when it ships next week.

Yakuza 4 Beer Mugs

One of the hobbies of Yakuza would definitely be drinking, and Yakuza 4 has tied up with the Watami [和民] chain (which is also featured inside the game) whereby customers would have a chance to win one of their special Yakuza 4 beer mugs.

Customers would have a chance to particpate in lucky draw by accessing the a promo site through a QR code that is located on their receipts. The promotional campaign will run at 21 of their Watami bar and will start from 11 March 2010 till 31 March 2010.

If I recall correctly, we have a Watami outlet in Singapore as well. Too bad there’s no promotion here.

Rockman Wagashi

In conjunction with the release of Rockman 10 on 9 March 2010 on the Playstation Network, Capcom is releasing some yummy Rockman Wagashi 「ロックまんじゅう」 for a limited period of time.

There are two different version of packaging, one is the Rockman 10 version while the other is the original Rockman version. Each box contains 6 manju and will cost 630 yen.

SOCOM 4 Trailer

This morning I read about SOCOM 4 being developed exclusively for the PS3 and is scheduled for release this fall. Now the debut trailer for the game has also been released.

According to the Playstation Blog and IGN, SOCOM 4 multiplayer online gameplay will cater for 32-players. As for singleplayer campaign, there will be 14 missions. Well here’s the cinematic trailer without any further ado:

Hollywood Planning For Space Invaders Movie?

Hollywood seems to believe that everything can be adapted into a movie, because Warner Bros. is currently negotiating to acquire feature rights from Taito to produce a movie based on Space Invaders.

According to LA Times Blog, if the rights issues all work out, the project would bring on Hollywood fixtures Mark Gordon, Jason Blum and Guymon Casady as producers.

Personally, I would love to see a movie made about Pac-man, and for the entire length of the movie would just be about eating cookies. LOL

Yakuza 4 CM

Yakuza 4 will soon be release in Japan on 18 Mar 2010, and here’s the television commercial to promote this awesome game. I particularly love this scene where the many yakuzas are bowing to this guy (seemingly the big boss) walking down the path.

Crossing my fingers that Yakuza 3 will be able to sell well so that Sega might consider bringing Yakuza 4 for the international community as well.
