Basically it says that the executive committee had try hard to postpone it but eventually had to make this difficult decision of canceling the event.

Of course, they reassure fans that it doesn’t mean Wonder Festival is gone for good. But when the event will start again, there is no definite answer.

Well I think maybe the organisers are being punished for the poor coordination. I’m confident they will be back in Summer. ^_^

Anyway, for those that have no idea, Shakugan no Shana is published on Dengeki Bunko (電撃文庫) magazine.

First up is that May Nakabayashi, the singing voice of Sheryl Nome of the anime Macross Frontier will be appearing live at a mini-concert at the event.

The second awesome thing to check out is the SHONEN JUMP 40th Anniversary World Tour. So folks will probably be able to see that New Dragonball & One Piece Special which I had previously reported.

Lastly, all our favorite manufacturers: Alter, GoodSmile Company, Kaiyodo, Kotobukiya, etc will come down and sell some stuffs there.

So for the price of an entry ticket (S$5 for a day, S$8 for a two-day pass) its really a good steal! ^_^

This event is organised by The Singapore Film Society and their mission is to expose audience to all kinds of awesome animated works and this year they will be showcasing more than 50 feature films and shorts.

The festival will be from 24th October till 02nd November and the screenings will be held at very cool arty locations such as Fusionopolis, National Museum of Singapore, Alliance Française de Singapour and library@Esplanade.

I already gone through the schedule and I intend to watch Piano no Mori and Freedom Project 1-7.

So for those fans of animation of Singapore would want to check out this press release that I’ve uploaded and see which are the animation works you might want to check out.

The mikoshi 神輿 is actually a portable shrine and it was decorated with illustrations of the characters from the Lucky☆Star anime series.

Thousands of fans applied to carry the 130kg mikoshi on their shoulders and 120 lucky fans were selected to carry it on their shoulders and parade it around the shrine and shopping district.

And this parade managed to draw more than 50,000 visitors nationwide, an increase of 20,000 from the previous year.

As you can see, some of the meido-san are wearing military outfits. Of course, they have specially desiged dishes as usual.

The promotional event started on 23 August and will end by 07 September.

While its really rare to see meidos in military outfits, I do feel that it takes out some of their moe-ness.

There seems to be no details on her release date yet but I’m definitely getting her when she comes out.

Right before folks enter the event hall, they were welcomed by the big event notice board warning them about the bag checks and not to bring dangerous items in. I’m guessing everything went about smoothly since there were no complaints online on the Increased Security Checks At Comiket.

Losta nice character goods to buy at the event. Just look at the number of folks in front of the Toranoana booth.

The oshiri mousepad which I covered before the event was on sale at the event.

Gotta love this eye-catching towel. Can you  bear to wipe yourself dry with her?

While the 2D girls on the character goods were awesome, you gotta love some of the 3D girls as well.

Of course, there are 101 things at the event and all of them are related to Gundam. They range from model kits to huge dioramas to arcade stations, etc.
