Sunrise Studo has updated the official website for Gintama anime series, replacing Gintoki with the new protagonist Kintoki. With that change, the series also officially becomes Kintama (which has the same pronunciation as “testicles” in Japanese).
Kintoki appears in the Baragaki Arc, where Gintoki is gone and he was built by Hiraga Gengai by orders of Kagura and Shinpachi to fill in Gintoki’s spot when he was absent. Kintoki is being voiced by Nakamura Yuuichi whom has taken on popular roles such as Gray Fullbuster (Fairy Tail), Alto Saotome (Macross Frontier), and Tomoya Okazaki (Clannad). Makes me really exciting about catching the new season of the series.
