Anime film director Hosoda Mamoru (細田 守) has produced a series of great anime movies (The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Summer Wars, Wolf Children) and he just recently became a father!
It was announced that his first child, a baby boy was born on Monday at 11:25pm. The baby boy weighed 3.466 kilograms (about 7.64 pounds), and both he and the mother are doing fine.

This is definitely great news when his latest movie “The Wolf Children Ame and Yuki (おおかみこどもの雨と雪)” has earned over 4 billion yen since its premier in Jun. I hope his son will bring him more inspiration, and we will get to enjoy more awesome works from him in the near future.
