The live action adaptation of Rurouni Kenshin has been a huge success with the movie having grossed over 1,213 million yen.
Fans all over the world might not have to wait very long to see the movie in their counties because it has been confirmed that the movie is licensed for overseas distribution in over 60 countries. The countries span Europe, Latin America, and Asia.
The movie stars actor Takeu Satoh as Himura Kenshin, along with Emi Takei as Kaoru, Yuu Aoi as Megumi Takani, Munetaka Aoki as Sanosuke Sagara, Taketo Tanaka as Myojin Yahiko, Koji Kikkawa as Jine Udo, Yosuke Eguchi as Hajime Saitou, and Teruyuki Kagawa as Kanryuu Takeda. The movie had earlier permiered in Japan on 25 Aug 2012.
