Today’s Japan Photo: Bishamon-numa 毘沙門沼

For Today’s Japan Photo, we will be visiting the Bishamon-numa 毘沙門沼, which is one of the famous Five Colored Lakes that is located in Fukushima.

The Five Colored Lakes (五色沼) is a cluster of five volcanic lakes situated at the foot of Mount Bandai. The different mineral deposits in the Five Colored Lakes give each of them their own delicate color, ranging from reddish green to cobalt blue. The colors of each lake mysteriously fluctuate throughout the year with the weather.
