Based on the magazine scan below, it has been confirmed that there would be a new theatrical movie for the Gintama franchise, and it is scheduled to be screened in Japanese cinema in 2013.
While the last episode of Gintama back in March mentioned that a new series was undecided, it has also been confirmed that the new season would be returning on 4 Oct 2012!!
