Details of the new Dragon Ball Z movie has finally been confirmed following the release of the latest issue of Weekly Shounen Jump. The movie is now confirmed to premier in Japan on 30 Mar 2013.
The movie will be a part of the original story that is created by Toriyama Akira, between chapters 517-518, which is some time during the 10 years time skip after the battle against Majin-Buu. It is confirmed that familiar characters Kuririn, Piccolo and Vegeta will also appear in the new movie.
The film will be directed by Hosoda Masahiro (director of Cell arc of Dragon Ball Z anime series), and written by Watanabe Yuusuke (20th Century Boys, Gantz movie adaptations). Mangaka Toriayama Akira has been deeply involved in the production, right from the screenwriting stage.
