Anime Characters That Fans Wished Did Not Die

There has been a couple of “anime deaths” that came as a shock to fans. Biglobe conducted a poll where fans votes on the characters they thought shouldn’t have died.

In the end, fans voted Portgas D. Ace  as the number one character they didn’t want to see dead in the One Piece storyline, followed by Tomoe Mami (Puella Magi Madoka Magica) and L (Death Note).

And so here is the top 10 list:

  1. Portgas D. Ace (One Piece)
  2.  Tomoe Mami (Puella Magi Madoka Magica)
  3. L (Death Note)
  4. Lockon Stratos (Mobile Suit Gundam 00)
  5. Rider (Fate/Zero)
  6. Nagisa Kaworu (Evangelion)
  7. Menjou Hare (Guilty Crown)
  8. Okita Mitsuba (Gintama)
  9. Akise Aru (Mirai Nikki)
  10. Stella Loussier (Mobile Suit Gundam SEED)

I totally agree that Ace shouldn’t have died in the One Piece series. I was really hoping he would eventually joined Luffy’s crew and accomplished their dreams together.

    Portgas D. Ace, he shouldn’t have died. I even hope that Oda-sensei will have a chance to borrow Toriyama’s-sensei Dragon Ball to revive Ace.

    I think L’s death was necessary to make the story stand out, however, he lives in our hearts.
