Shaft To Animate Entire Monogatari Light Novel Series

Nisio Isin, the popular light novel author behind Bakemonogatari and Nisemonogatari series has announced in his newsletter that the Shaft will be animating his entire Monogatari story series.

This is definitely a grand project for director Shinbo Akiyuki and I expect it will take a long time for the entire series to be fully completed by Shaft as the entire series consist of:

  • Bakemonogatari (化物語)
  • Kizumonogatari (傷物語)
  • Nisemonogatari (偽物語)
  • Nekomonogatari Black (猫物 黒)
  • Nekomonogatari White (猫物語 白)
  • Kabukimonogatari (傾物語)
  • Hanamonogatari (花物語)
  • Otorimonogatari (囮物語)
  • Onimonogatari (鬼物語)
  • Koimonogatari (恋物語)
  • Tsukimonogatari (憑物語)
  • Owarimonogatari (終物語)
  • Zoku Owarimonogatari (続終物語)

      Yeah that’s essentially 13 volumes and Shaft has only produced 2 series and another movie in the works.

      exactly, bakemonogatari has the number one BD sales during its year
