AKB48 to Perform at Tokyo Dome

On the third day performance at the Saitama Super Arena, AKB48 made an important announcement that the idol group would be holding their first concert at the famous Tokyo Dome. However, it is unknown when the concert will be scheduled.

In the announcement video, you can see AKB48 leader Takahashi Minami walking from the AKB48 theatre with a countdown starting from “1830″ which is the distance from the AKB48 theatre in Akihabara to Tokyo Dome. It has always been the dreams of all the girls to perform at Tokyo Dome, ever since they first started singing at the AKB48 theatre.

Tokyo Dome (東京ドーム) is a 55,000-seat baseball stadium located in Tokyo, Japan. It is the home field of the Yomiuri Giants baseball team, and has seen many mega-stars performed at the venue, including L’Arc~en~Ciel (which has the fastest tickets sellout record of 2 minutes), X Japan, Gackt,  Hey! Say! JUMP, Perfume, and even Mizuki Nana (who held her “King’s Night” and “Queen’s Night” performance in 2011).
