Two years ago, I reported that Wendy’s Japan had closed down all of its 71 stores in Japan. For Today’s Japan Photo, we see the fast-food franchise returning to Japan after a two-year hiatus, with its first store opening in Tokyo’s Omotesando shopping district.
This time Wendy’s Japan has teamed up with Higa Industries and it expects to open as many as 700 restaurants in Japan, and you can see there’s quite a long queue of people waiting to grab a bite. This is probably due to the fact that it has introduced a promotional premium menu that includes an interesting Foie Gras Rossini Burger (1,280 yen) and a Truffle and Porcini Grilled Chicken Sandwich (920yen).
