The latest issue of Jump Square magazine has announced that “New Prince of Tennis (新テニスの王子様)” the manga sequel to the original “Prince of Tennis” has been confirmed to be adapted into an anime series.

The “New Prince of Tennis” is illustrated by the same mangaka Konomi Takeshi, and it started serialisation on Jump Square from 4 Mar 2009. The story is set several months after the end of the first manga, and features Ryoma returning to Japan after his stay in America.
This is probably a huge piece of news for the fans. I can already hear loud screams from all the female fans from the original series. ^^
