The one reason that Japanese gamers would purchase an Xbox360 is probably to play iDOLM@STER 2 but finally the franchise is not longer a 360-exclusive anymore. Namco Bandai has officially announced that the game is being ported onto the PS3 and will is scheduled for release on 27 Oct 2011 in Japan. An additional blow to the Xbox360 fans is that PS3 owners will be getting tons of bonus contents ^^
The standard version of the game will be retailed for 7,980 yen but a special bundle that cost 19,800 yen will be the one that fans should get because it comes with tons of awesome goodies. It includes the first volume of the iDOLM@STER anime series on Blu-ray, a box that can hold the entire series of the anime, an iDOLM@STER 2 soundtrack CD, and “iDOLM@STER Gravure For You!” PS3 game that lets you take gravure photos of the idols.
In addition the PS3 version will contain tons of clothing and songs that Xbox360 owners had to originally pay for using their Microsoft points.
This is surely a double or triple whammy for the fans of the franchise that had supported the game on the Xbox360 console. And this is of course, an awesome victory for those who held onto their PS3 console XD
In the meanwhile do enjoy these lovely screenshots of the game that looks really good on the PS3 ^^
