I’m sure everyone would have heard about this piece of news by now that Japan was hit by a mega earthquake of magnitute 8.9 this afternoon. The destruction was then followed by a horrific tsunami that measured as tall as 10 meters high that swept away people and properties. Many regions of Japan have been affected and some of the regions worse affected includ Sendai, Miyagi, Fukushima, Chiba and Tokyo prefecture.
My heart goes out to all our dear comrades that is living in Japan. Even though phone lines were jammed, thankfully information still managed to flow out via the various social media such as twitter, facebook and uStream, so everyone was able to make sure that their loved ones and friends were sound and safe.
I was really worried about my dear Tomochin but I’m relieved to say that all the members of AKB48, SKE48, SDN48 are sound and safe. The AFA organisers have also confirmed that JAM Project, angela, SCANDAL, Flow are all safe via various channel.
All we can do now is hope that Japan will be spared from any further quakes, and hope that all our fellow comrades in Japan stay strong together to overcome this challenging situation.

if i am not wrong, tomochin was overseas.. guam?? and should be safe from the earthquake.. but not sure about the tsunami that might or might not hit guam.

I was worried initially that if the tsunami hit the small ulu island, tomochin might be swept out to sea.
I can’t help myself but get teary-eyed when I saw the tsunami creeping all over that farmland. When I saw the cars trying to get away only to get caught by the giant wave, I can’t help but imagine the fate of the driver and the passengers.
My prayers go to Japan. If I can I will donate some stuff.
I think many of them had time to get to higher ground, but still there will be those unfortunate ones.

For all the news I have been following. After the earthquake struck, they only had 30 mins to evacuate before the tsunami came…

My heart just sunk seeing all of this happened. To the unlucky ones..but I really want to believe Japan would be able to get through this.
To seiyuu, idols, comedians, the citizens and their family and so on, I pray for all in Japan. May God be with them.

Japan is strong, I don`t think they will fall with this but it`s going to be a really hard time, let`s pray for them and donate anything if possible to help them
Really horrific…my girlfriend’s family are all from Chiba, and we couldn’t get a phonecall through until this morning. Luckily they’re safe, severe property damage though.
Must have kept you worried through the entire night.
I send my prays for those who are not any longer with us,,and my best whises to japanese people overcame this terrible happening
