Last year, we heard news of a Dynasty Warrior credit card released by Koei in collaboration with Mitsubishi UFJ NICOS, and reader Blacksun88 mentioned it might be a good idea to have a gundam credit card. It seems like the folks at Mitsui Sumitomo finally though of this idea, and they will be releasing this really awesome HG 1/144 RX-78-2 GUNDAM G30th (Mitsui Sumitomo VISA Card Ver.) (機動戦士ガンダム 三井住友銀行VISAカード).
This credit card should be the choice for all gundam fans because the art was illustrated by Kunio Okawara (大河原 邦男), the mecha designer behind the original Gundam. As a promotion, the first 5,000 applications will receive a limited edition 1/44 scale RX-78-2 Gundam Ver. G30th that features the VISA logo on its shield.
Too bad that its only limited to Japan. I would totally love to have this card in my wallet. I think to more value to the card, they should have a tie-up with Bandai such that folks who visit the Gundam Café or purchase Gunpla kit with this card would have additional discounts.
