100 Yen: The Japanese Arcade Experience

Before the gaming consoles gotten popular, arcades were places where we hang out with our buddies to challenge each other for a game of Street Fighter or Datona. Japan is probably now that few places on Earth where arcades are still thriving. Brad Crawford and his team are now making a documentary to bring us into the world of the Japanese arcade, featuring interviews with renowned arcade player Daigo Umehara (梅原 大吾) and Kotaku’s editor Brian Ashcraft.

Do check out the trailer below for their interesting documentary and you might want to support their project as well.
