I seldom discuss Dollfie news on this site but this new Dollfie Dream from Volks which is set to debut in Home Town Dolpa Osaka 6 has really caught my attention. There are three DD to be showcased at the event, but the one I would like to highlight is Mari Makinami Illustrious from Evangelion Movie 2.0 You can (not) advance.

Originally I had been planning to adopt Mini Dollfie Dream Louise as my first daughter, but I had not been successful in my search. Now that DD Mari is going to released, I might change my mind and start finding out how to adopt her instead XD
I love Dolfie Dream dolls but I think it’s the glasses on her – they make her look like she’s from Thunderbirds!

I know Dollfies aren’t supposed to look exactly like their anime counterparts, but I think the face should be just slightly longer to really get the Mari “feel”. Aside from that, I’ve got to say that this has piqued my interest even though I’m not usually into Dollfies. That said, I still find the cost of Dollfies far too prohibitive – I don’t like it THAT much.
