Back in Feburary, we heard of a news story of “Brave Man Jumps Onto Train Tracks To Save Drunk Woman“. Here’s another similar story that took place at the Sengawa subway station in Tokyo’s Toshima Ward on Saturday night.

The incident occurred at about 11:40 pm. The 45 year-old woman apparently fell onto the tracks and the 42 year-old man jumped onto the tracks, and pulled her into the space underneath the platform to avoid the oncoming train.
“There wasn’t even a full minute until the train came in,” said a witness. “It was a very close call.”
The woman suffered minor injuries to her face but otherwise is in good condition, fire department officials said. The fire department said it intends to send the woman’s rescuer a letter of gratitude commending his courage.

Its always nice to hear news stories of people performing selfless heroic acts. This should be the plot if there was ever a new Densha Otoko series.
