Yesterday evening while watching my weekly dose of Japan Hour, I saw this interesting snack called Bakudanyaki 爆弾焼き. Thus, for Today’s Japan Photo, we shall examine what is it actually?
Apparently, it is this really massive version of the normal Taokyaki. According to its official website, it measures about 8cm in diameter and weighs about 200grams! Here’s a clip of famous Japanese competitive eater Natsuko Gal Sone vising the Bakudanyakishoten. Its really scary that she managed to finish 10 of them @_@
