Today’s Japan Photo: Mount Yufu 由布岳

I think weekends is a good chance to go out and explore nature, so for Today’s Japan Photo, we will be visiting Mount Yufu 由布岳 in Ōita prefecture, Japan.

This lovely photo was taken by flickr user kaycatt* MacBook Pro(blem). I really liked the composition of this photo, with the stream leading up to the mountain in the background.

Just a little more info on the mountain:

Mount Yufu (由布岳) is a 1,583.3 m (5,195 ft) volcano, located on the border of Yufu and Beppu, Ōita, Japan.

Mount Yufu is a Stratovolcano. It has two peaks, called ‘Higashi-mine’ (East Peak) and ‘Nishi-mine’ (West Peak). The highest peak is Nishi-mine, which is about one meter higher than Higashi-Mine. This mountain is one of Japan 200 mountains.
