Summer Wars Sold 54,000 Blu-Ray in 1st Week

Mamoru Hosoda’s epic anime movie Summer Wars (サマーウォーズ), that had just won this year’s Japan Academy Award’s Best Animation has very impressive sales performances for its Blu-ray discs as well.
In its first week of sales, more than 54,000 copies of Blu-ray Discs were sold. It boasts better performance than the Evangelion: 1.11 You Are (Not) Alone Blu-ray, which only managed to sell 49,000 copies in first-week sales.
I’m hoping that they will release a subtitled version so that I can buy it and share it with my family members.

I’d definitely recommend it. Its much better than his first work. There’s really cool action intertwined with the complex relationship of a big family.
