If you are intending to get hold of some kawaii Nendoroid Puchi Vocaloid, make sure you get them from reputable stores. Otherwise you might end up with some serious poor quality bootleg products.

Here’s a couple of comparison shots just to drive home the message of how poor the quality of these puchi are compared to the originals by GoodSmile Company:

Thanks to wcloudxkumo for picking up this useful piece of information on the GSC info section.

I kinda like the bootleg products because they got chains and can be used as decorarion on my camera bag. ^^
Other than that, the real ones are far supperior!
*sigh* It was only a matter of time till these were bootlegged >.<
Wow soooo much fail! They couldn’t even get Meiko’s hair color right! I feel sorry for anyone who bought these.
I think i have the original one ^^
HOLY CRAP Saihate looks TERRIBLE.
And really. No to bootlegs!

Not just puchi nendroids, but FIGMA and Nendroids series as well
Well, I don’t know. I think the bootleg versions are fine as keychains, but ONLY as cute keychains. the people in my cosplay group use the keychain versions as a type of identification..kinda like a club badge, but we all own the original puchis..:/ the originals are definitely the better ones, but that’s because they were painstakingly put together instead of mass produced like the bootlegs..meh.
Thank you. I encountered a Neru Akita and a Luka bootlegs, real crappy. Every bootleg detail was correct, excluding the fact that the keychain was there. No keychain on mine luckily. The limbs couldn’t move! each was 5 dollars, I knew it was good to be true. But a real otaku has at least one bootleg, so I’m proud too.
P.S. They actually sold the keychain ones for like, 7 dollars! At least they put them in plastic wrap so we can see it. I’m still sad. Curse you, Anime USA!
