Today’s Japan Photo: Ginga no Taki 銀河の滝

For Today’s Japan Photo, we will be visiting series one of Japan’s top 100 waterfalls – Ginga no Taki (銀河の滝), literally translated as Milk Way Falls.

Ginga-no-taki (銀河の滝)

This beautiful photo was taken by flickr user Dean Goss. Its really a tall and majestic waterfall and I would image that watching the water just fall vertically down the cliff would be an awe-inspiring experience.

Here’s a little more background info on Ginga no Taki [銀河の滝]:

Ginga no Taki [銀河の滝] is a 120 meters waterfall, and it is located in Sōunkyō (層雲峡), a range of gorges located in Kamikawa, Hokkaidō, Japan. Ryusei no Taki (流星の滝) is another famous waterfall and is just located to its right. The two waterfalls are also termed as husband and wife together.

Wow very beautiful, I’m amazed at the shape of that waterfall. I’d probably go see it if I ever went to Japan.
