Tokyo Zoo’s Lame Drill Exercise For Tiger Escape

This youtube clip really made my day! Tokyo Zoo conducted a drill exercise so that the public would know they are in safe hands even though a “dangerous” tiger is on the loose within the zoo.

As you can see, the tiger is actually a man in a friendly tiger suit. Somehow I don’t believe you can corner a tiger just using wooden sticks and a large net.

Anyway, here’s another clip of a drill exercise, except that this time it is an escaping rhinoceros.

  1. Although I appreciate the effort the Japanese zoo staff are doing to ensure the safety of their visitors, I don’t think this drill would suffice when things turn for the worse. It does make for an entertaining watch though.
