The new trailer for the upcoming movie The Last Airbender was aired at the recent Superbowl. After watching it on youtube, I was so impressed by the CG effects that I had shared it with you folks.
The movie is adapted from the animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender, and I had greatly enjoyed the show when it aired on the local TV stations last year. In fact, I think the animated series was just that good that it would be very difficult to meets fans expectation for the movie adaptation. But still I would love to watch the movie when it premiers in July.
I enjoyed the animation and was looking forward to this.
The CG is nice but it seems to be a little slow unless the trailer did it intentionally. Particularly the earthbending moves in the animation are alot faster and impactful compared to what the trailer showed.
Furthermore, I’ve always felt the characters in Avatar looked more asian. It could be just me but the american cast is kinda off-putting. In fact, it reminded me of Fail-Ball. =/
Why can’t they do the characters right!? They always get replaced by white people (not that I hate white people but y’know they gotta put the right people in their respective characters)!
Turned out the movie was pretty shitty, eh?
@above comment: White supremacy in Hollywood. There’s no way to stop it because media brainwashes some unfortunate folks into not caring.
