Chasing idols is an expensive hobby because you need to afford the concert tickets, travel and accommodation fares when traveling to your favorite idol events. An overzealous fan of idol group AKB48 was arrested by police, and is suspected of committing 151 robberies in four prefectures.

Masayuki Fujioka, 35, was quoted by police as saying:
I needed money for train fare and concerts so I could chase AKB48.
Fujioka illegally trespassed in a construction site in Tochigi City on the night of Oct 6, breaking into a vending machine and stealing 4,700 yen. Authorities say that, since around December 2002, Fujioka committed 151 robberies in Tochigi, Saitama, Ibaraki and Gunma prefectures, stealing a total of 4.1 million yen.

I’m amazed that he could commit so many counts of crime and the police didn’t managed to stop him at all. This shows that when you are motivated, you would excel at whatever you do.

Wow, he sure did a good job though 151 times you think he’d be caught after a handful of times. He probably didn’t get caught because his crimes were pretty small time like stealing from vending machines.
I would do the same too if I was in Japan LOL XD
Wow. 8 years of theft and they didn’t catch him til now…
