SOY’B’ 2010 Cosplay Photos

Today, I attended the “Start of Year” cosplay event with my fellow otaku comrade, which was organised by the Japanese Tsubasa Club and held at Ngee Ann Polytechnic. I thought the ticketing were really ingenious because instead of printing tickets, they gave out these paper identity bracelets.

I spent most of the time just walking the grounds and admiring the cosplay. In the end, I only took very limited shots of the cosplayers. Here are some of my photos taken using my Canon EOS 5D Mark II and EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS. These photos were shortlisted because I thought the cosplayers and their costumes were really awesome.

I really love the details of her costume and it was a nice contrast against the grass.

As for this shot below, I thought the cosplayer was really pretty and the pose was great too. I had to balance myself on a steep slope while taking the shot.

Another lovely cosplayer, had seen her a couple of times at different events.

I’m not familiar with this character below, but I thought she looked really cool with the gun.

Girls with violin are always moe-licious ^^

My favorite shot of the day would be this cute Miku cosplayer ( I thought she had a nice smile). She was sitting on this ledge and I had to wait for the dark clouds behind her to dissapate before asking for her shot.

And this is the best LOL character I’ve seen at a cosplay event. Who else would have thought of cosplaying as the world famous Colonel Sanders.
